| Molecular Biologist
| |
| Since completion of graduate school, I have been employed as a postdoctoral fellow at one of the nation's best cancer research facilities in the department of carcinogenesis. During graduate school at U.T.-Austin I was compensated either as a teaching assistant or graduate research assistant. Throughout my years as an undergraduate I was employed as a laboratory technician or research assistant at a genetics clinic (Applied Genetics), a microbiology laboratory (Clinical Pathology Laboratories), and a molecular genetics and microbiology research lab (Phil Tucker Lab, U.T.-Austin). As a molecular biologist with extensive training in grant writing, manuscript review, assay development, enzymology, molecular recognition, and analysis of DNA damage and repair, I view myself as a well-rounded scientist. Having completed nearly 10 years of college and 3 years of postdoctoral work, I wish to begin a career within the industry. | |
