JOB DESCRIPTION
POSTION / OBJECTIVES
We are currently looking for Mechanical and Electrical engineers for the role of service Engineer, and to provide responsive technical support services to customers, to assist the sales team and in this matter the role includes:
1. Installation and services of MAZAK machine tools.
2. Installation and services of other equipment sold but the company.
3. Relocation and re-alignment of machines.
4. Repairs and or replacement to major mechanical assemblies.
advising or assisting customers as required.
5. Advising or assisting application and sales engineers as required.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide in house and on-site services, including
1. Install (packing, unpacking of machines, machine location and alignment) new and used machine tools and related equipment.
2. Provide service (breakdown repairs, preventive maintenance, warranty) new and used machine tools and related equipment in house and on-site for Australian customer base.
3. Travel at short notice to service regional and other state customers.
4. Travel overseas may be required.
5. Maintain current knowledge on company products.
6. Train customers and employees.
7. Advise or assist application engineer as required.
8. Complete paper work and work with company policies as required.
9. Recommend products and business improvement.

SKILLS ESSENTIAL TO THE JOB
1. Electrical / Mechanical problem solving
2. Ability to identify and remedy technical difficulties
3. Trade or tertiary background with strong machine tool installation and service experience - a thorough understanding of the interaction of electrical and mechanical (“mechatronic”) operations.
4. Strong knowledge and experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
5. Modern Machine tool model capabilities e.g. multi axes, palletisers.\
6. Computer literacy - ability to “drive” machine from CNC panel

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
1. VCE Tertiary
2. Diploma in Engineering desirable but not essential
3. Previous experience:
Extensive NC machine tool servicing
General machining foundation
CNC Programming desirable
