Description of the Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have previous experience performing SAP-SD configuration, but will have since moved on to becoming a business analyst. He/she will also have worked with a large, and preferably global, manufacturer of apparel, footwear or consumer products.
Experience:
- Minimum six to nine years experience in business analyst or consulting position with knowledge and experience related to business function.
- Minimum 3-5 Years experience hands on working with SAP systems - Sales Distribution (SD module), SAP-WMS, preferably with some knowledge of SAP FI-AP and AFS industry solution.
- SAP SCM-APO a nice to have.
- Key processes Direct Procurement, Inbound Logistics, and Supply Planning.
Knowledge, Skills, &Abilities:
- Proven ability to develop complex business OTC process models and technical requirement documentation in SAP environment. Demonstrated experience using structured modeling and flow techniques to articulate business requirements.
- Excellent facilitation skills, including experience planning and participating in design sessions.
- Proven skill developing project proposal and business cases in support of system initiatives.
- Able to interact with business and technical partners at all levels of the organization.
- Strong SAP or ERP project methodology experience in a complex business environment.
- Strong analytical, planning, organizational and problem solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as good interpersonal skills.
- Must be a self-starter, able to work in a real time fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Leads the development and analysis of business requirements and functional specifications supporting the Americas Regional Information Technology Application strategies and projects for end to end process, with focus on OTC business area required to achieve both short and long-term business results.
- Facilitates the evaluation, recommendation, business readiness and implementation of best practice SAP Order to Cash (OTC) and related solutions.
- Fulfills project manager and testing lead role on assigned AOP cross functional projects working with Business and Global IT, including Global SAP Competency Center.
- Primary point of contact for business on issue and problem resolution for Regional IT Supply Chain (OTC).
- Act as a liaison and strategic partner between Americas IT and end to end process business areas with emphasis on RTC
- Provide subject matter expertise of cross-functional area's business processes and related systems
- Acknowledged as a strategic partner by business area, has SAP SD industry expertise and a deep level of understanding on the business processes for the cross-functional area.
- Is well-versed in SAP best practices and supporting SAP tools related to business analysis, process design and requirements gathering
- Work with LS&CO Global SAP Competency Center on design, testing and problem resolution for America's SAP solutions. Note this position is restricted to the above responsibilities and does not include configuration or customization which is performed by the Global SAP CC
- Fulfill the role of PM and Testing lead on assigned projects adhering to our Project Lifecycle Methods (including Governance, Project Mgmt, Release Mgmt/SDLC methods) - delivering on-time, within budget
- Lead and participate in development, implementation and delivery of the IT AOP Plan and the integration of IT into the SBP
- Assist in development of strategies and tactical plan and assure that all work is consistent with IT strategies and deliver against AOP plans
- Sustain appropriate level of knowledge for all projects/systems in the department's portfolio to reduce redundancies in solutions and leverage global efforts where possible
- Act as lead business analyst to provide detailed SAP SD (OTC functions) knowledge and "industry best practice" of business processes and systems
- Partners closely with business partners, systems analysts, development, SAP CC, and architecture teams to facilitate issue resolution, develop solution designs and deliver valuable business solutions in a fast-paced environment
- Ensures that the business is ready to fully utilize new systems development, including leading or participating in UAT and assessing risks relative to the readiness of the business to adopt the solution
- Ensure initiated projects and project deliverables are aligned with both the IT and business strategies
- Develop and implement necessary IT General Controls in solution delivery
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
Skills and Certifications:
Business analysis in an SAP environment
Previous hands-on experience with SAP-SD
Apparel, footwear, or consumer products industry
