Job Summary:
The Account Manager is responsible for developing and implementing specific strategic action plans to meet or exceed sales and profitability goals. Active in NENA, APCO, or ESRI. Proven sales record. Public safety or software sales preferred. GIS experience or background preferred. Will have a specific sales territory, so travel is required up to 50 percent.
Essential Specific Job Duties:
1. Attains sales goals.
2. Develops strategic marketing/sales plans for an authorized geographical area in conjunction with the Vice President of Sales and Sales Manager.
3. Understands all GeoComm products, features, benefits, capabilities, operations, solutions, and applications.
4. Follows sales process from initial prospective client contact through appropriate sales and proposal presentations.
5. Submits requests for proposals containing necessary background data.
6. Participates in Trade Shows as appropriate.
7. Develops and maintains CRM sales database.
8. Submits monthly reports to the Sales Manager pertaining to all sales activities to include prospective clients, marketing opportunities, proposal status, and contract closings.
9. Performs general management and coordinating activities on projects.

Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree and
Valid Driver’s License
Related Experience: 2 years
Desirable Training and Experience:
1. Past experience in public sector sales.
2. Proven sales success track record.
3. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with county staff, company personnel, employees, and the general public.
4. Ability to perform highly responsible assignments requiring experience, judgment, and discretion.
5. Ability to coordinate tasks for varied program and project areas.
6. Ability to work unsupervised.
