Sr. Principal Consultant - SAP

The SAP practice has been modeled along the CoE concept. The CoE is equipped with a world-class SAP solution center, a unique SAP knowledge powerhouse that stays ahead of time & technology. The solution center is equipped with best-in-class infrastructure & SAP product suite and does advanced research on emerging SAP technologies (e.g. SAP NetWeaver). With early access to SAP product beta versions, the SAP CoE develops sound proof-of-concept & working proto types on these emerging technologies and is uniquely positioned to advise customers on the same, far ahead of competition.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Interact with clients and prospects in order to establish a rapport as well as a basis for a continuing relationship.
• Provide thought leadership to influence clients during proposals and pre-sales.
• Supervise teams in putting through proposals and ensuring that all the estimations in the proposal are done correctly.
• Manage external environment by enhancing the brand image of the Enterprise Solutions practice.
• Lead or play a major role in package evaluation/strategy assignments. Consult various projects in your area of expertise and be the “Project Mentor”. Position with the client as an ultimate solution provider. Create methodologies & tools. Approves and vets new methodologies.
• Provide leadership to motivate teams. Guide the project team and review the process of conducting the initial diagnostic study of the clients’ business / system.
• Lead and provide guidance during all stages in the life-cycle of a project. Review, guide and resolve contentious issues during the actual project development stage. Conduct weekly reviews, scans the tools and processes designed to implement the package.
• Predict and forecast technology changes that are anticipated for the future and build resources in the new technology.
• Enable building of knowledge databases and identify domain & technology and solution areas for investment.
• Suggest and implement solutions to solve customer’s problem areas
• Study comparative packages in the market
• Define application architecture
• Tailor methodologies and macro issues to customer’s needs
• Lead and provide guidance during all stages of the life cycle of a project
• Pre-sales support


QUALIFICATIONS:
• 12+ years of experience in a specific domain of SAP. This includes one or more of the following - FI/CO, SD, MM, PP, MDM, BW or industry specific solutions such as IS Utilities, IS Retail, IS Oil
• Minimum 8+ years of consulting and related business development experience
• Experience in the life cycle stages of SAP projects like Requirements Analysis, Design, Build and Deployment
• Proven SAP project lead expertise & excellent communication skills
• Exposure to pre-sales and proposal making activities in a similar role essential
• Consulting background with a leading firm preferred
• Knowledge of one or more package
• Experience in conducting Scoping Study, Package Evaluation and Demo/CRP at client sites.
• Successful track record selling and delivering high-value engagements
• Exposure to multiple types of client engagements
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to work in a team environment - sharing ideas and working collaboratively
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree preferred.
• Up to 80% travel may be required

Base salary + bonus
