Responsibilities:

• Ensure all Policies, Procedures and Guidelines are implemented and in practice at all levels of staff
• Provide strategic and clinical leadership and direction for nursing and related services which results in the delivery of effective, efficient, quality assured and patient centred nursing care
• Ensure Compliance with all appropriate Regulations
• Identify training needs for all levels of Nursing & Care Staff
• Create and implement a delivery plan to meet these needs within the budget allocated
• Create and implement an assessment process that measure the effectiveness of all training for the individual and the organisation
• Establish a good rapport with external community agencies bringing the local community into the Home and facilitating residents to attend functions/activities within the local community
• Monitor all complaints in conjunction with the Home Manager thus ensuring that each is documented to include the investigation and outcome
• Overseeing the training and development of staff along with practice and procedure guidelines.



Requirements:

• To have been a RGN with ABA Pin and 6+ years post qualification experience and 3+ years caring for the elderly.
• A Management course or other relevant post registration course is desirable.
• Have proven clinical and professional managerial ability, leadership and organisational skills.
• Have the ability to efficiently and effectively manage human resources.
