BJUSMBA/COL/161208/04 -- This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Physiotherapist with strong experience with musculoskeletal patients to join this well-equipped and modern hospital and lead an experienced team of professionals. Responsibilities:
To provide assessment and individualised treatment to a caseload of clients with complex needs using evidence based and client centred principles within all aspects of musculoskeletal outpatient physiotherapy.
To communicate to patients and their carers information regarding diagnosis, treatment, goals and discharge plans and to empower patients to make informed decisions as to their treatments.
To undertake all aspects of clinical and non-clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.
To manage the musculoskeletal outpatient department efficiently.
To provide all colleagues with appropriate advice and recommendations according to current national guidelines regarding musculoskeletal physiotherapy. This includes working within the multi-disciplinary team to ensure a unified approach to treatment.
To be actively involved in the up to date development of specialist, departmental and hospital services.
To provide leadership to junior staff, including formal supervision and appraisal.
To participate in the on-call rota.
Requirements:
Degree in Physiotherapy.
HPC State Registration.
Ideally a minimum of 6 years clinical experience.
