Duties:
The Software QA Specialist will perform Quality Assurance support for the Fire Control System (FCS) of the Ship Submersible Ballistic Nuclear (SSBN) and the Launch Control System (LCS) of the Ship Submersible Guided Nuclear (SSGN) programs for the Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile (SLBM) Program at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) in Dahlgren, VA.

Duties include the following:

Will develop, apply, and maintain quality standards in accordance with SLBM and CACI policy and processes.

Will perform testing of the SSBN FCS and the SSGN LCS to include formulating, authoring, and executing test procedures, and documenting test results.

Will write and verify test cases, test plans, and other documentation that supports the QA portion of the software life cycle. The applicant will write UNIX shell scripts, and may also code analysis tools in C or C++, to facilitate their testing.

Will review requirements, design specifications, and other related documentation for future revisions to the SSBN FCS and SSGN LCS to offer expertise on pending design modifications.

Will interface with customers, vendors, and other departments to resolve QA related problems and may perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Must have a current DoD SECRET Security Clearance to qualify.

Recent SLBM Fleet experience is required. Must have excellent oral and written communications skills.

Desired Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree is highly desirable, with two to four years of related experience. Experience with IV&V and/or Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs). Embedded systems testing of real-time weapons systems. Experience with Sun Workstations, Unix, C and C++; PCs, Windows, and the Microsoft Office Suite are a plus.
