Duties:
CACI has an immediate opening for an Information Security Specialist to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD). Duties and responsibilities center on providing a wide array of Information Assurance support to multiple branches within NSWCDD.
A successful candidate will generate system and network accreditation packages in accordance with current Department of Navy (DoN) and NSWCDD policies and guidelines. The candidate will enter and maintain all accreditation data in the NSWCDD accreditation database. The candidate will research and develop System Security Authorization Agreements (SSAA) or Platform Information Technology (PIT) packages and Security Operating Procedures (SOP) for all applicable client networks. In addition, the candidate will conduct incident handling and security update procedures as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Must have a current DoD SECRET Security Clearance to qualify.
A successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or a related discipline (or equivalent such as certifications in systems administration or network security) and one to two years related information security experience. The candidate must either have current Information Assurance Manager (IAM) certification or be able to obtain the certification within the next year.
The ideal candidate will have real world experience interpreting and following DoN and NSWCDD Information Assurance (IA) regulations and policies. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of network technologies and the ability to develop security documentation. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the DITSCAP/DIACAP process and methodologies.
Desired Qualifications:
In addition to the qualifications described above, the most desirable candidate would have the ability to work in a fast paced environment and to effectively interact with all levels of client users and management. The candidate should have strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
